1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and A & A Music & Art Academy (“Academy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), located at 1975 East Devon Avenue, Hanover Park, IL 60133. By accessing our website (https://www.aamusicacademy.com), submitting an inquiry form, enrolling in lessons, or making a payment, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our Site or services.

2. Eligibility & Age Requirement

Our services are open to students of all ages. However, our website and online forms are not directed at children under the age of 13. Individuals under 13 may only be enrolled by a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on their behalf. By submitting an enrollment form for a student under 13, the parent or guardian confirms they are at least 18 years of age and have authority to enter into this agreement.

By submitting any online form, you confirm that you are 13 years of age or older, or that you are a parent/guardian acting on behalf of a minor.

3. Description of Services

The Academy provides private music and art instruction, including but not limited to: piano, organ, voice, guitar, ukulele, flute, brass, drums, percussion, strings, drawing, watercolor, and clay. We also offer professional piano tuning and repair services. Lessons are conducted at our Hanover Park location, by appointment only.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time, with reasonable advance notice where practicable.

4. Fees, Pricing & Payment

4-Week Trial Package

Our standard enrollment offering is the 4-Week Trial Lesson Package consisting of four (4) private lessons at $35.00 per 30-minute lesson ($140.00 total), plus a $5.00 credit card processing fee, for a total of $145.00. Pricing for advanced or extended lessons may vary; see our Lessons page or call us for current rates.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe, Inc. By providing your payment information, you authorize us (via Stripe) to charge the applicable fees. We do not store your full credit card number. All transactions are subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Taxes

Prices are listed exclusive of any applicable state or local taxes. Illinois residents may be subject to applicable sales tax on certain services, which will be added at checkout where required by law.

5. Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refund Policy

Student Cancellations

If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance by phone at 630-837-7484 or email at info@aamusicacademy.com. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without prior notice (no-show), will be forfeited and counted as a completed lesson — no make-up or refund will be provided for such lessons.

Instructor Cancellations

If the Academy or an instructor must cancel a lesson, we will make every effort to reschedule at a mutually convenient time. Lessons cancelled by the Academy will not be forfeited.

Refunds

Lesson packages are generally non-refundable once scheduled. However, refund requests submitted before your first lesson will be considered on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund, contact us at info@aamusicacademy.com or call 630-837-7484. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 10 business days, less the $5.00 processing fee which is non-refundable.

Package Expiration

Trial lesson packages must be completed within 60 days of the first scheduled lesson. Unused lessons that expire are forfeited without refund.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, images, graphics, logos, lesson materials, audio, and video — is the property of A & A Music & Art Academy or its content licensors and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, republish, retransmit, or otherwise exploit any content from this Site without our prior written consent.

7. Testimonials & Results Disclosure (FTC)

Testimonials displayed on this Site reflect the genuine opinions of current or former students. Results may vary. We do not guarantee that any student will achieve specific musical or artistic outcomes. Testimonials are not compensated and are subject to FTC Guides on Endorsements and Testimonials.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE ACADEMY, ITS OWNERS, INSTRUCTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF DATA, OR INJURY, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH:

  • Use of or inability to use our Site or services;
  • Any errors or omissions in Site content;
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data;
  • Conduct of any third party on our Site.

IN ANY CASE, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF OUR SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO THE ACADEMY IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

OUR SITE AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

10. Privacy

Your use of this Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding the collection and use of your personal information.

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites (including Stripe, Google, Teachworks, Facebook, YouTube). These links are provided for convenience only. 12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the federal or state courts located in DuPage County, Illinois. You consent to personal jurisdiction in such courts and waive any objection to such venue.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our Site or services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will provide notice of material changes on our Site.
